Georgia football players will have to use Twitter to interact with fans

By Steve LitchfieldGeorgia linebacker Jalen Ramsey, who recently won the Biletnikoff Award for college football’s best linebacker, will have a unique opportunity to use social media in a way that other college football players won’t have.

Ramsey will have access to the Twitter feeds of his teammates on the Bulldogs football team.

Georgia announced Tuesday that it is extending his Twitter access to three years.

“The tweet of the day will be tweeted by my teammates during games, and the tweet that’s posted on the team’s official Twitter account,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said in a statement.

“My teammates, in turn, will use that opportunity to share their thoughts on a variety of topics with their followers.”
