U.S. resumes hiring of women as it focuses on women in senior management position

The United States resumed hiring women for senior management positions as it prepares to hire hundreds of thousands of women in its workforce, according to a statement from the White House.

The U.N. human rights office released the news Friday, describing it as “an important step forward” to ending gender discrimination.

The hiring, announced in March, marks the first time the U.K. and Canada have approved women for top positions.
